Canned 10/21/19, it pours cloudy orange color with a 2 finger thick off white head that faded slowly and left minimal spotty lacing. Smells of orange peel, tangerine, orange juice, tea leaf, biscuit, floral notes and faint peppery spices. Less citrus in the nose than most SC DIPA’s.
“A strawberry cream bubble tea inspired DIPA” which I was skeptical about until I sipped it, and then I was pleasantly surprised. This is a real nice collaboration brewed with lactose, tapioca flour, black tea and strawberries. That list of ingredients on paper seems odd, yet somehow works well together. Notes of pineapple, orange juice, grapefruit, star fruit and sweet fruity candy like Razzles rounds out the flavor profile. Feel is flat with no bitterness, it slides down easy.
