Canned 1/23/20, it pours cloudy orange color with a 2 finger thick off white head that was packed with bubbles, fading very slowly and leaving excellent foamy lacing coating the tulip glass. Nose is weaker than most SC DIPA’s as it’s got biscuit, orange peel, lemon zest, star fruit or other tropical fruit and then some bready sweetness. The hops didn’t really jump out of the glass, but it smelled good overall.
Flavor has floral notes, light peppery spices and grapefruit to go along with the biscuit, orange peel, lemon zest, star fruit, tropical fruit, toasted grains, faint caramel and wet wheat bread. Trailing earthy notes add some additional taste as it trails off on the dry side with carbonation that seems almost flat and a tiny bit of bitterness. No sign of the 8.5% ABV, which is a hallmark of most Sand City beers.

-cloudy orange-yellow can pour with a 1 cm foam cap and an orange juice aroma. The flavor is largely tangerine and mango with a moderate hop bitterness. The initial sweetness is quickly cut by a hop burn. -a fully flavored brew
