Having had a few “west coast IPA’s” from breweries know for their hazy’s, they are typically meh. This one hits the mark in almost every way. Well done Sand City.

This presents as a clear, amber can pour with a 2 white foam cap that dissipates quickly.
The aroma is pleasantly piney.
The flavor Is of resin, a bit of lemon and earthy hop notes. The hop bitterness is moderate.
The mouthfeel is dry.
This is quite enjoyable.

Pours hazy gold color with a fluffy 2-3 finger thick white colored head that faded slowly and left really nice foamy lacing rings. It smells piney, earthy, musty and like wet yeast with herbs, fresh cut grass and dried flowers. It almost smells dry hopped with a lot of floral hop notes mixed with biscuit and cardboard.
Right off the bat this brew has that West Coast IPA flavor, complete with the piney notes, peppery spices, dry chalky yeast, faint spruce tips, a drop of honey, biscuit or bread crust like rye toast, grapefruit, lemon zest, a spice like cumin and some citrus notes. This definitely mimics Sierra Nevada beers and it’s just as complex, tasty and smooth.

Poured from a 16oz can into a Trillium pub glass.
Look is a slightly hazy yellow with a full yellow head.
Aroma is dank lemon hops.
Aroma is intensely herbal with a hint of lemon.
Taste matches aroma. Very smooth.
