This opaquely dark, ebony can pour hosts at 1 cm tan cap of foam
The aroma is of toasted malt and roasted coffee beans. Sweet maple syrup and cinnamon notes are included.
The flavor is full, following the nose. A bit of charred malt and bitter chocolate add to the malt and coffee aspects.
The finish is dry. Some bitterness persists.
This is a well-balanced, flavorful brew.

Pours as black as ink with a 2+ finger thick foamy tan head that faded very slowly and left good spotty lacing. Smells of burnt coffee grinds, ash, baker's chocolate, cold brew coffee, tinny metallic notes, piney hops, burnt coffee and raw coffee beans. I've never had Kings Coast coffee, but this smells so good that I may have to go visit and get some.
As it warms it tastes more roasty, with a coffee bitterness and flavors that include burnt coffee grinds, charred or smoked malts, baker's chocolate, piney hops, cold brew coffee, metallic notes, burnt black coffee, raw coffee beans that resemble burnt espresso and a dry ashy finish. After it faded there were nutty flavors and cocoa powder lingering, which added to the overall flavor profile. The feel was thin and the body bordered on watery, but it smelled great and was pretty damn tasty. Really good stuff.
