This beer showcases the intense profile of Sabro hops. Notes of tropical fruit combined with vanilla, coconut, and cream.

This IPA is a darker color than a lot of other IPAs out there, but it still has a white head. The nose is mostly piney with a faint hint of fruit. The taste is of tropical sweetness, but not your traditional pineapple/orange. It's closer to a guava with maybe some coconut. The mouthfeel is okay, but nothing to write home about. I'm glad I tried it but there's enough other IPAs out there.

Pour is semi-opaque clementine capped by a sturdy collar of thick, soapy lacing and above average retention. Smell is Coppertone sunscreen, rye whiskey, musky coconut, and navel orange slices. Taste features more citric notes, some tangerine, hints of lemon zest, sichuan buttons, and spice. Mouthfeel is soft up front, waning on the back end. Low carbonation, and thin body. Yeah, not the best Sand City experience, but one can imagine that Sydney Sweeney was rubbing my shoulders with Coppertone the entire time I reviewed this beer. Yessir, Hunter. Cheers to that!

Canned 09/09/20, it pours cloudy orange gold color with a 2 finger thick foamy off-white colored head that faded slowly and left excellent camouflage lacing clinging to the glass.
Smells like a milkshake IPA mixed with an orange creamsicle. Tangerine, orange peel, lemon zest, grapefruit, vanilla, heavy cream, faint biscuit and then it fades like lemon meringue pie. Very different aroma for an IPA, which must be the Sabro hops.
Tastes almost exactly like it smells but you get the additions of coconut, marshmallows, possibly some pineapple and a malty sweetness like a graham cracker. The alcohol is completely hidden and it’s nicely balanced.
Overall I thought this was tasty, unique and well crafted. I have no experience with the Sabro hop, but it does come off very tropical and presents a nice change of pace.
