Hazy looking with a load of sediment in it, burnt orange in color, pouring with a finger and a half of thick looking, off-white head that has great retention to it and leaves a lot of clingy, sticky lacing on the glass.
Strong fruity hop aroma, lots of oranges and citrus peel to it as well as a good amount of pineapple.
High amount of pressure to the can, it kinda exploded when I opened it, lost about half the can to that, Pithy flavor forward with a slight note of pineapple flavor that lingers on the palate.
Fairly heavy bodied and substantially malty with a light caramel flavor that has a bit of an earthy note to it and a fair bit of sweetness, that although is present, isn't as obtrusive due to the high level of bitterness on the back-end.
Finish is fairly strong tasting with a fairly high bitterness to it, Lots of bitter orange peel with some lighter notes of zest, slightly bitter Cinchona bark traces and faint hints of herbal mint + floral orange blossom on the back end, and a faint lingering boozy warmth.
Ends up as a fairly strong, heavy bodied citrusy IPA in a more West Coast style then a tropical fruity IPA.

355ml can poured into tulip.
Pours a clear golden amber with one finger of off-white head that leaves distant New York City skyline lace as it recedes.
Smells of unripe citrus, pineapple, kiwi, bruised mint, bready caramel malt, wet stone and sticky pine.
Tastes of juicy orange and grapefruit, more tropical fruit and herbal mint, bread crust and more resiny hops.
Feels soft and creamy. Medium bodied with fluffy carbonation. Finishes dry.
Verdict: Highly recommended. Tasty and easy to drink.

355ml can poured into tulip 3/4/17
A clear copper liquid with plenty bubbles feeding a two finger foam that has great retention, falls uneven leaving lots of random lace
S melon, tangerine, grapefruit, maybe some mango? tropical profile but hard to place, lots of caramel, orange creamsicle, spruce, balanced and pretty solid
T lemon rind comes out strong, piney compared to the nose, missing lots of the fruit the nose had but holds its own
M medium weight, bubbles soften it up, slick in the mouth, mild bitter bite, rind lingers
O well rounded and drinkable, pretty happy with my random purchase
I wasn't sure what too expect but this one turned out pretty good, I can't keep track of all the breweries popping up but this one is now on my radar

355ml can - thanks again to my friend Mark for grabbing me one of these during his trip through southern Alberta earlier this week! Glad to see that this brewery is making their own suds now.
This beer pours a clear, medium bronzed amber colour, with a near-teeming tower of puffy, finely foamy, and mildly creamy beige head, which leaves some stellar crooked webbed lace around the glass as it very lazily sinks away.
It smells of semi-sweet, bready and doughy caramel malt, a twinge of biscuity toffee, mixed domestic citrus flesh and a more exotic tropical fruitiness, some ethereal hard water flintiness, and further leafy, grassy, and piney green hop bitters. The taste is gritty and grainy caramel malt, candied toffee, orange and red grapefruit rind, some melon-forward tropical notes, and more leafy, piney, and floral hoppiness.
The carbonation is adequate in its mostly supportive frothiness, the body a solid middleweight, and generally smooth, just a wee bit of hop acridity the proverbial fly in the ointment, as it were. It finishes well off-dry, the big and brash malt joining up with the lingering muddled fruitiness to give the hop bitterness a serious run for its money.
Overall, Hoodoo Hops is a rather enjoyable and sturdy IPA - that malt body seems like it could go on for miles and miles, and, well, the sense of balance thus suffers a tad. At any rate, quite tasty, especially if you're ok not having your tastebuds raked over by the hops.
