Bubbly with a slight haze to it and lemon yellow in color, poured with an extreme amount of yellowish porous, foamy head, had a decent amount of retention to it and left thick curtains of lacing down the side of the glass.
Nice hoppy aroma to it, lots of perfumy, floral elderflower notes with hints of fruity papaya and citrus.
Clean, crisp forward, aromatic floral elderflower notes linger airily on the front end of the palate with a faint trace of lemon pith, papaya and ghostly hint of melon on the tongue.
Light, clean malt body with a light touch of grainy sweetness and fairly high amount of carbonation to it with a very faint coppery tang.
Back end has a light hint of a lager yeast flavor to it, but it is a bit overwhelmed by the fairly bitter herbal, weedy hop flavor that grows as it warms, though it finishes clean with very little of it lingering aside from a faint hint of a spicy resinous hop bite it's back end

355ml can poured into tulip 27/4/17
a clear golden yellow with pin prick bubbles everywhere, two fingers of foam just sits there, crazy retention and lorts of random lace deep down the glass, looks great
S spicy, herbal, grassy, the noble note are there but some tropical citrus and maybe even a little melon in the background, some sweet malt, bread comes out as it warms
t grainy and spicy, even more then the nose, faint metallic notes, still has some hard to place citrus
M light bodied, mild bitter bite, bubbles soften it up, herbal, spicy finish is lingers faintly
O I was in a mood for a pil and this one worked well, not the hop profile I was expecting with more fruity notes then I expect from the style but it works well
I could session this stuff without getting board, something to sip with the bros on a hot day by the river.

355ml can, with a not so subtle label mantra of taking Lethbridge, Alberta's 'Pils' heritage back from Molson/Coors.
This beer pours a clear, bright medium golden yellow colour, with three fingers of puffy, finely foamy, and somewhat creamy off-white head, which leaves some sudsy linked island chain lace around the glass as it lazily recedes.
It smells of gritty and crackery pale malt, some random breakfast cereal graininess, weak lemon flesh esters, ethereal Euro gasohol notes, and some plain leafy, grassy, and floral green hop bitters. The taste is edgy and grainy pale malt, estery petrol, random bitter citrus essences, a touch of wayward son yeastiness, and more earthy, weedy, and grassy hoppiness.
The carbonation is adequate for the basic support job it performs via its workaday frothiness, the body a decent middleweight, and generally smooth, with only a touch of gas station ephemera taking the sheen off of things here. It finishes off-dry, just, as the grainy pale malt character holds fast against the lingering fusel and hoppy such and such.
Overall, this is indeed a rather well-made version of the style, and certainly holds true to their marketing ideals - a 'historical style, re-imagined' (more of the former, than the latter, but that's ok). Worthy of checking out, if your idea of Lethbridge Pils was identical to what mine was before this particular introduction.
