Purchased a growler.
Aroma is brown sugar like malt. Except for the well hopped beers many of the beers at this brewery have a similar aroma, much like many Schells brews have a similar aroma (especially the lagers).
Appearance is dark brown, amber of orange. Clear. 1 to 1/2 inch head but firm and creamy looking with adequate lacing. Good appearance.
Flavor is caramelly malt, with hops presenting in bitterness and less in flavor. Malt shows a bold presence start to finish and holds a nice little malt bite.
Slightly dry mouthfeel that increases as it warms and as more is consummed. Mild to moderate richness, yet somehow smooth.
Very drinkable and enjoyable.

Very deep brown color, with a small white head (poured from a growler). This beer has a robust roasted malt flavor, with hints of coffee, raisins, and whiskey. The ABV in this one is noticably high, combining nicely with it's maltiness. Mouthfeel is very full-bodied, this is a good wintertime beer to warm you up.
