On tap, Autumn Brew Review, 2005...
Clear medium orange color, decent 1/4 inch head on the glass. Looping string laces mark the glass adequately. Fresh aroma, quite bready with a slight toasted dryness. Medium body, pleasant with a nice shortbread flavor with light cinnamon. Finishes with a broad grainy spread on the palette. Not overly malty and thick (like Barley John's) but nice middle-of-the road example and one of the better Oktoberfests I've had this year.

Growler.
Aroma has a nice malt base with hints of caramel.
Appearance is as it should be. Orange/amber. Clear. Heads settles too quickly to a ring.
Solid malt flavor. Good dryness with a shot of bitterness.
Nice overall softness. Appropriate sense of fullness from carbonation. Medium feel.
Solid and tasty version of style.

A bright pumpkin orange colored beer, with a nice sized creamy off-white head. Smell is actually more hop evident than the sweeter malt smells of most o-fests. Taste is also very hoppy and somewhat dry for the style. I did like the deviation from the norm. A good beer, enjoyed at the brewpub.
