Bowigens 1967 West Coast IPA, has a generous expanding frothy off white head over a cloudy burnished gold and hanging lace. None, barely fragrant. Breaded and cereal taste - not bitter, is gentle on the tongue. Citrus flavors, think grapefruit, presents as likable just as the warming from the 6.7% ABV comes forward. Vaguely, Belgian fizz. Semi dry finish for this decently crafted brew.

Apperance: Arrives clear, the liquid a light amber color capped by a two finger head; decent retention and squiggles
Smell: Earthy with caramel tones and a hint of passionfruit
Taste: The earthy malt flavors bring some caramel tones to the forefront; in the middle, there is just a hint of passionfruit; moderately bitter finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: The brewery calls this a traditional West Coast IPA but I think of it more as belonging to the East Coast forbears
