Copenhagen 20/8 2020. 33 cl can from Fish & Beer, Amagerbrogade, Kbh. S. Black can with the name in gold letters and white drawings of champagne bottles popping and theater masks and other fun stuff.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small light beige head. Settles as thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet slightly sugary odor. Milk chocolate, toffee and brown sugar. Hints of shoe polish.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a light bitter undercurrent. Finish is chocolate milkshake.
Chocolate bomb and pastry beer.

L- Black and I mean seriously and unusually very black: even with a halogen torch at the back of the glass (my usual test) not a photon gets through. Pours with deeeep tan though very fleeting head, then zero foam or bubbles atop.
S- Major cocoa.
T- Major creamy cocoa. Is this a Milk Stout... I'm blind-tasting this. Toasty, a whisp of smoke yet very rounded with vanilla hints and a creamy feeling.
F- Rich, pretty deep though with a choco/vanilla perfumed facet.
O- Just as there is dessert wine this could make a great dessert beer. Maybe start it off chilled, since you're unlikely to be able to rush it, it'll warm some as you go. On it's own it risks nearing over-sweet for me which isn't too welcome. It could go well with any hot pudding, apple crumble, Xmas pudding and so on. Otherwise one for slow festive sipping whilst reclining on the Ottoman in one's velvet slippers and smoking jacket... Carry On Up the Crafty Christmas - chin chin!
440ml can £4.11 Bought from TremblingMadness/York as part of a DIY mixed-case pick for home delivery to London. BB: 30/10/21
