Inspired by one of our favourite breakfasts: blueberry waffles. this indulgent and full bodied stout has a sweet, malty body, topped with rich fruit flavours. It's breakfast in a can.
Collaboration with Yeastie Boys

Copenhagen 29/10 2020. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé. Some kind of inverted number 3 waffle on the can soaked in sweet syrup.

Pours opaque dark brown with a small, light beige head. Settles as thin layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.

Aroma is intense with a sweet, pastry odor in dominance. Sweet waffles and blueberry jam. White sugar and vanilla. Hints of burnt sugar.

Light carbonation. Slightly thick, soft and a bit sticky texture.

Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness and a rudimentary bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and sugary. Lingering. Finish is sweet with light dryness.

Pretty good at emulating waffles with blueberry jam. Pretty light despite the description - and if you are into waffles and jam this will bring you joy.

440ml can picked up at Tesco in the UK. Dark brown poor kind of slick minimal head. Maple is featured in the aroma, not prominently, but enough to let you know you're in for a good Breakfast Stout. Taste is with some more sweetness, with more Maple, hint of chocolate. This is easily comparable to many of the u.s. breakfast Stouts. Very well done with a nice creamy feel.

Looks-dark brown with a light red hue to it

Smell- berries and caramel at first then slight spice in the back

Taste- berries, a little malt and some cocoa powder to finish

Feel- Low carbonation, smooth

Overall- A nice stout, very drinkable especially with how smooth it is.

Purple-black; lots of berries!; blueberry pie, humming winter spice, vanilla, slight sugar, tart berry comeback; ashy linger, soft.

Waffle stout: blueberry, blackberry, vanilla + cinnamon

Gets the berries right. Missing the roast, though. Sweetens as it opens. Still fun.

Can. Dark brown with an odd purple/red hue. Thick receding head which leaves decent lacing.
A sweet and rich fruity aroma of blueberries and blackberries. Some spice and vanilla discerned.
Tastes similar along with some coffee. Waffle indeed. A tad sweet for my likeing.
Moderate to full bodied. Smooth with gentle carbonation.
On the surface this is a right 'ole mish mash of flavours which somehow comes together nicely.

440ml Can from Tesco supermarket (£3.00):
Quite a sweet & creamy beer, the taste in particular coming through a bit stronger than the nose with some sugars & vanilla coming through alongside some lighter blueberries. I managed to get some roasted malts & caramel sweetness but overall it's a soft, balanced beer with some dryness nearer the end. It was a pleasant & easy to drink beer without really standing out.
