An oppulent double mashed coffee and vanilla imperial stout. Expect rich, full bodied coffee flavours with sweet notes of vanilla on the finish. Tantalisingly moreish, unforgettably decadent.

Copenhagen 16/4 2021. 44 cl can from Best of Beers web-shop. Golden brown can with the name of the beer and brewery in white.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a mid-sized beige head. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Very moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense ad a strange mixture of layer cake and roasted coffee. Sweet cake-like chocolate odor with hints of banana. Vanilla and sugar. Notes of roasted toffee. Sweet alcohol.
Light carbonation. Thick, creamy, smooth, fat, viscous texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong, sugary sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet. Lingering. Finish is sugary and boozy.
For the coffee drinker who takes 5 lumps of sugar.

Fizzy Imperial stout. No head retention though. Smell is mostly coffee, real coffee, not just roasted aroma. Taste is the same with a slight vanilla sweetness. Feel is fizzy, and a little dry actually. Does what it aims to do.
