440 ml can in the Vocation Barrel Aged Series - Imperial Kirsch, Chocolate & Cherry Stout. From Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 11.0%. Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma of sweetish and roasty malts, chocolate and cherries, hints of oak and cognac. Very sweet flavour, with the same elements as the aroma. Low bitterness.

440ml can from Tesco (£5):
Dark ruby to black, opaque & thick as it pours with a thin, bubbly head that's tan brown but faded to a patchy lacing quite quickly; expected given the abv. It's a sweet, strong nose with plenty cherries, sugars & chocolate with a boozy finish. The sweetness goes into overdrive come the taste, it's sickly sweet with huge amounts of cherry, chocolate & syrupy, almost caramelised dark fruits with dates & maybe a little raisin too. It's thick, full bodied & very sugary, it's almost undrinkable it's that sweet. Very disappointing, definitely one to avoid.
