Copenhagen 15/12 2021. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Gold and dark purple van with a flashy red star. Bring back memories of the seventies.

Pours opaque dark brown with a mid-sized light beige head. A bit bubbly. Settles as a 1 cm thick, frothy layer of foam. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Fair amount of lacing.

Aroma intense with a pastry-like, sugary, sweet odor. Chocolate pudding, toffee, lactose in abundance, brown sugar and honey.

Light carbonation. Medium thick, a bit sticky yet soft and smooth, creamy texture. Lightly tingling.

Flavor is intense with a heavy sweetness followed by a modest, subdued bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet bordering on being sugary. Lingers for a while. Finish is milk chocolate.

Like being atracked by a buffet of cakes and puddings.

Blind-tasted:
L- Cola dark brown with a 3mm mid-tan head. ps. doesn't linger long.
S- Rich chocolate with vanilla, thus quite perfumed.
T- Like a chocolate-vanilla cream soda, a late roasty perhaps coffee note comes into the finish. I imagine this is a lactose stout, that creamy aspect etc...
F- There is a dry presumably hoppy lick into the finish too, that helps this not become cloying on the palate.
O- Well interesting to try but honestly it's not really beer-like. More choco-vanilla cream soda with a dry lick in the finish. ABV% seems well masked too. Too 'perfumey + hipster' for me, no need to buy this one again.
BB: 03/23 440ml can. Bought from either M+S or Waitrose in London.
Now reading the lable: No lactose listed, but it does list the use of wheat, barley and oats.
