Copenhagen 15/1 2033. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Stiff drawing of two Boxers sparring on the white can.
Pours opaque dark brown with a huge beige head. Stable. Settles as thin, frothy layer of foam just managing to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, roasted odor of dark malts mingling with earthy and salty notes. Dark roasted malts, toffee and caramel. Humid soil, leather and salty breezes.
Low carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a bitter undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is sweet and a tad sugary.
Delicious nose but a bit on the sweet side.

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Black colour, small tan head. Aroma of roast malts, coffee, dark chocolate, a hint of liquorice. Dry flavour with the same elements as the aroma, moderate and well balanced bittering hops. Straight up indeed, and moreish. Simply a good beer.
