Indulge in a masterpiece of patience and craft with this exquisite Barrel Aged Barley Wine, meticulously aged for over three years in premium Islay whisky barrels.

Our 2024 release unveils a complex tapestry of flavours, beginning with the evocative smokiness of Islay peat that lends an intense and captivating aroma. Beneath this, layers of rich, bready malt unfold, interwoven with nuanced notes of roasted nuts and a delicate whisper of green apple brightness. A gentle wave of soft vanilla emerges mid-palate, enhancing the sumptuous depth before giving way to a refined, dry finish characterised by earthy undertones and the enduring elegance of oak.

This is more than a beer; it’s a journey for the senses.

Copenhagen 13/2 2025. 33 cl bottle from Øltanken web-shop. Black label with Vocation Brewery's logo in gold and the name of the beer in white letters.

Pours opaque murky dark amber with a small off-white head. Settles as thin patch of foam unable of covering much of anything. No lacing.

Aroma is intense with a sweet boozy and sugary odor with peaty and salty notes. Brown sugar and dark fruits. Whisky of a peaty and rough design. Prominent and boozy.

Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, a little viscous, gently tingling texture.

Flavor is intense with a strong and boozy sweetness followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and a little searing. Light bitter undertone. Lingering. Finish is potent and boozy.

Barley Wine with a solid touch of Islay whisky.
