Our second release in the Barrel Aged Baltic Porter series is a true testament to the artistry of barrel ageing. Meticulously aged for 33 months in Margaux barrels, this exceptional beer brings a depth and complexity that reflects both time and craftsmanship.

Aromas of oak and caramel introduce the journey, leading into an indulgent blend of dry tannins that permeate every sip. Earthy, rich flavours develop throughout, with layers of redcurrant and subtle roasted malts creating a balanced, refined finish. This is more than just a beer; it’s an experience—one that showcases the dedication behind our barrel aged program, pushing boundaries and delivering premium, world-class brews.

Copenhagen 27/12 2025. 33 cl bottle from Øltanken web-shop. Black label with Vocation's logo in dark blue and the name and style of the beer in white letters.

Pours opaque dark brown with a small off-white head. Bubbly. Disappears completely after a few seconds leaving a dark solemn fluid behind. No lacing.

Aroma is intense with a sweet, sugary odor of dark malts mingling with a vinous and potent scent. Dark, roasted malts, toffee and brown sugar. Wood and heavy red wine. Dark alcohol.

Light carbonation. Thick, oily, viscous, soft, gently tingling texture.

Flavor is fairly intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and laden with alcohol. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry with vinous touch.

Vinous and woody Baltic Porter.
