From notes.
Pint consumed at the brewery for $5. I can't remember if I was told this was going to be a regular in their lineup or not, so I listed it as "rotating."
Dark mahogany color, with a beige-colored head that dropped relatively quickly, though a foam collar stuck around for quite a while.
Initially malty, with a slightly roasty and caramelly sweet character. In the background was a piney hoppy flavor that provided some contrast to the malts, but did not take over the taste of the beer. The finish was crisp and relatively clean for an ale.
Medium bodied, with a slightly oily mouthfeel.
I haven't had too many Irish Reds, but I really have liked the ones I've had, and this was no exception. Although amber/red ales in general don't do much for me, I could happily have several of this beer.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
