Poured from a 16 ounce can filled at the brewery into a snifter.
Look- Black, opaque, sudsy light brown head, average head retention and lacing.
Smell- Chocolate, whiskey, caramel, cinnamon, medium strength of scent.
Taste- Chocolate, whiskey, caramel, sweet, medium strength of flavor.
Feel- Medium body, silky, average carbonation, mildly mouth warming, low bitter, sweet.
Overall- Black in color with average head retention and lacing. Bouquet was a mix of chocolate, whiskey, caramel and cinnamon with medium strength. Flavors were true to the nose, but had more sweetness than I expected. The beer had a medium body with a silky feel and was mildly mouth warming. Overall this was an enjoyable experience, but I think more time in the barrel would have been beneficial.
