A new brew named for Whitey the bartender. Anyone that has been to Stoudt's knows Whitey and his famous word puzzles that he hands out to the customers at the bar. A nice honor for this ex-NBA player.
The beer is a slightly hazy pale yellow color with a thick bubbly 2.5" head. The aroma is of coriander and banana, with a hint of yeast. The flavor is a basic witbier, as coriander and banana are most dominant with some mild citrus and a hint of bitterness.
The mouthfeel is crisp at the start and the finish. The finish gives you a quick spicy spurt, and dies off quickly. Lighter in body, this is a refreshing brew that is quite drinkable.
