This rich Full bodied porter was brewed using several types of specialty malts to give it a deep dark color. the use of both vanilla extract as well as whole vanilla beans in the brewing process, lends to its wonderful flavor profile, and delicate sweetness

Served at Stoudt’s in a 12 oz glass. ABV unknown – “between 5 and six percent”.
Not listed on the beer menu but told about by waitress.
Aroma – By seriously horning it, a weak odor reminiscent of vanilla was detected.
The head was chopped off by the bartender, but what remained was a light brown three to four mm ring and a thin layer with rocks
Lacing - none
Body – dark brown/black, opaque.
Flavor – initially vanilla and bitter burnt malt. As the beer warms the vanilla drops off and the malt becomes more forward and less bitter. No hops, no alcohol, no diacetyl.
Palate – medium, watery, lively carbonation.
Not an impressive brew. One and done.
Appearance 3, Aroma 3, Flavor 3.25, Palate 3.75, Overall 3.
