Sampled at the restaurant bar in the Stoudt's Brewery, Adamstown PA.
This cask ale was served in a stemmed chalice type glass. A very good looking brew with a big fluffy and bubbly head. Hazy copper/gold body. Big lace down the glass.
The aroma was of muted hops with an underlying sweetness of malts, maybe a hint of something fruity.
A smooth, very drinkable ale. Not overly hoppy, though hops make up the majority of the flavor profile. Something of a less in-your-face IPA almost. The card on the bar which alerted me to this brew's availability stated the beer is made with "fresh summit hops". I wonder if by fresh they mean wet. Quite drinkable at 5% ABV.

A cask-conditioned hand-pump served at the Black Angus in Adamstown, PA.
A: The ale is a copper-orange color with a thick billowy head.
S: The ale has a creamy aroma with a subtle hop aroma that comes across as noble and earthy.
T: The ale has a very soft but distinct hop flavor. The hops have a grapefruit element but come across as very reserved and earthy. The fresh hop addition has created a strong taste that is very concentrated but not over the top. The malts are biscuity and provide a nice body to support the fresh hops.
M: The fresh hops are pungent and subtle, adding a great deal of taste without the strong bite.
D: The ale is very drinkable, I had two glasses with dinner.
