Appearance: Pours a very light golden straw tone fizzy white head this is a mass produced lager going for the low carb light beer fad, well at least there is some lacing here light bands of course. Aroma: Cooked veggies all the way not even corn sweetness just weird aroma not very appetising. Taste: Flavor is light some corn rice and minor malt sweetness going on a touch of hops but really this beer isn't trying to be good and different just run of the mill. Mouthfeel: High carbonation that makes each sip harder to swallow, light body about the texture of carbonated water. Drinkability: I would much rater have just about any beer but this one caught my eye being from Chile and all, but I also knew there was a reason I never buy light beers.

A new Chilean beer on the market, which is the export of this brewer's "Royal Light" in Chile. 12oz - 112 calories - 10.3 carbs - 0.9 protein - 0 fat (as per the label).

Pours a crystal clear, light golden brew with very large carbonation bubbles and a translucent head / lace. Appears flat within seconds. Do yourself a favour and drink this one from the bottle.

Odd, cooked veggies (DMS) aroma, hints of metallic, soft grain ...

Extremely light-bodied, but smooth with a crisp flipside -- apparently there is some carbonation in this beer, you just can't see it. Carbonation snaps with a watery floral hop character and hint of rind. Faint metallic mix in with the light hop twang. Grain tannins pull thru, with a musty character and veggie (DMS) flavour in the background. Goes dry in the finish with a musty, watery rind flavour and unpleasant after-taste.

A flavourful beer for a light lager, but the use of something cheap is just too obvious and whatever it is, it lends an overall odd character to the brew that's touch to shake off of the palate. In a market saturated with basic lager beers that are all to same-y, and one dominated by lighter lagers ... why? Might be nice as an option in a Chilean restaurant (to go with the theme), but not worth the purchase otherwise.
