Taster flight at brewery. Medium amber pour, thin head, streaky lacing. Malty aroma, hoppy edge. Taste is tobacco, mild caramel notes and an indistinct bitter hoppiness. Finishes very fast

A: A deep brown red color, tan head.
S: Caramel and perhaps a touch (a very small touch) of floral or fruity hops...
T: Burnt caramel, and a harsh bitterness. Bitterness is long lingering, slightly earthy, and rough.
M: Medium in body, moderate carbonation, and a bitter cling that borders on tannic.
O: Pretty big pass for me. Very little hop aroma, the malt is a bit strong, and the bitterness is harsh and unpleasant. This beer is a mess.

Pours a solid orange with a nice looking white head.
The smell is sweet malt, pine, orange, biscuit.
The taste is very malty, sweet, there's some bitter pine and earthiness.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, medium carbonation.
Overall an interesting flavor which didn't really work for me, way too malty for an ipa.
