This was the first beer I had last month at an evening at the Green River Brewery. Being a big IPL fan, it jumped right out at me (plus the laughable name, I mean, didn't Boomers ruin lager? Who knows, I'm just a Gen X guy stuck in the middle of these generational clowns). Looked quite hazy and dark brass/bronze with 1/3" head.
The commercial tug job talks about the Kohatu hop providing lemon and lime notes similar to a neomexicanus or wild hop, but I dunno about that. I dug the rare hop (my first exposure to it ever?) usage combined with workhorse Cascade. For me, it had more of a grassy, pine, grapefruit and mango thing accentuating those notes in Cascade with just a slight tropical addition from the Kohatu. Slight lager yeast push in a good way aroma wise.
The bittering was solid as it almost always is with Cascade, similar notes as the aroma, I liked what it brought to the table. Seems like a winning recipe. I would like to see its appearance cleaned up, and it wouldn't be worse if its body was slightly drier, but still, liked the beer. Would bang again.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
