Had this at some restaurant in Vacaville over the summer of '21. Disappointing wet hopped beer. Added the beer to the database and also doing a review bc I'm not a total sociopath.
Pours an ugly beige hazy style pour. The head was decent in the 3/4" range with very small bubbles. Another mixed bag of appearance. The aroma was lacking, I like Chinook hops, I grow them as well. but for whatever reason the grapefruit rind and pine experience was lacking. I think sometimes brewers don't realize wet hops have a lot of water content, so you're not going to get the same aromatics if you use the same 1:1 weight from a pellet recipe.
The taste had some of the Chinook bitterness, but really lacked much in the way of flavor. Really earthy dirt lemongrass like aspect to it. For being a hazy appearance, the purported oats and wheat didn't do anything in terms of tempering bitterness.
Ultimately, this is a below average ipa or wet hopped beer.
