The beer menu indicated that the addition of rye gives the beer a "lightly fruity character." Any such fruit flavors were too subtle for me to register. Overall, the beer was a touch harsh, with a blunt hops bitterness that was not particularly interesting. A bit of alcohol added to the unrefined, raw nature of the beer. Pass on this and go for the American Pale Ale.
