Like drinkin' an American Wheat...at a campfire. There is actually a pretty good American Wheat beer in here. Very refreshing, citrusy, estery, banannas, and cloves. Not as creamy or rich as German Hefeweizens, but very clean and crisp to moderate. A mild smoke aroma compliments the sweet wheat malts without dominating the finess brew. Flavors bring out a light woodsy character, but the smoke is largely limited to the aroma. Additions of smoke didn't hurt the pale yellow hue, the light haze, or the abundant head retention. Good beer.
