On tap at the brewpub, January 5, 2007. IBU's 16.0
Tawny red-amber with minimal head.
Smell of mixed dried fruits, chocolate malt, and a nice funky barnyard note. Hops are WAY in the background.
Taste is sweet and tart. Dried cherries and dried apples. Vinously figgy. Nice horsey funk, with a nice hop dryness. Really rich and complex. I like this.
Mouthfeel is sticky, round, lip-smackingly full.
This has a great flavor, a good long warm aftertaste, but at 9.2% it's very strong for a Dubbel.
