Growler poured into a 12 ounce snifter.
Appearance is a slightly translucent brown with a foamy/soapy-looking head on top--big bubbles, which might be a result of it being from the growler pour.
This one is very boubony. The aroma is heavy on the bourbon/oak, with some strong malty notes. Raisins, plum, cinnamon, cocoa powder, and oak.
The flavor is almost overpoweringly bourbon. It is a little sweet, with that bourbon barrel flavor. Delicious. It has some spicy elements, too...cinnamon, nutmeg...and a nice, malty profile. I'm not sure what this beer would be without the bourbon barrel aging...that really gives it its character and flavor profile.
Overall, this is a fine beer. It's a little darker than other old ales I've had, but the barrel aging really does this one some justice. If there is one thing that I have found BBC to do consistently well, it is barrel aging.

On tap poured into 1/2 pint glass at the St Matthew's location.
Poured an Amber brown with a nice head. Smell of sweet dark fruit, bourbon, caramel. Taste the same as it smells with a very pleasant vanilla bourbon addition to the British ale. Mouthfeel is smooth and mild. Even at 8.8% ABV it's very drinkable if I didn't have to drive home.

Growler fill from Party Town. Generously shared by RoyMunson.
Pours a dark brown in color with some reddish highlights. A little bit of frothy bubbles form on top, but are quickly vanquished to the perimeter of the glass.
Smell is heavenly. BBC has proven themselves to be barrel aging experts. They use the perfect barrels, the perfect amount of time, and it shows in the flavor of their beers. Plenty of bourbon, caramel, oak and vanilla.
Taste is more of the barrel flavors, but some dark ripe fruits and some sweetness from the underlying old ale.
Very smooth and easy drinking. Absolutely enjoyable from start to finish. Another stellar barrel aged product from BBC. If you haven't had the chance to try their BA stuff, I strongly suggest you seek it out!
