A: Pours a clear golden orange with a thin, creamy white mousse.

S: Aromas of lemon, lime, grapefruit, bitter orange, pine, biscuits, crackers, and caramel are supported by traces of mineral and grassy, herbal scents. Compared to most American IPAs I've tried this is nice, but nondescript.

T: Hop notes show themselves first, with flavors of lemon, lime, grass, herbs, grapefruit, bitter orange, and pine coming through loud and clear. Around mid-palate, mild malty notes of biscuits, caramel, and crackers are underscored by a pleasant minerality. The finish is surprisingly dry, quenchinng, and brief with a rush of lemon, lime, biscuit, grapefruit, and caramel. For a beer that was brewed with a combination of Citra, Centennial, and Cascade hops, the Citra is oddly absent here-I'm just not picking it up. The flavors of Centennial and Cascade are, however, showcased in a very proficient manner.

M: On the lighter side of medium, crisp, and very, very dry. If you are looking for a resinous IPA, this one will surprise you. The beer seems slight upon entry, but grows heftier after that. Carbonation is very lively. Easy to drink and not too filling.

O: Talking to one of the guys at the brewery revealed that this ale was meant to be a lighter, friendlier take on the traditionally resinous, powerful, hop-forward citrus bombs that have become synonymous with American IPA as a style. With this information in mind, I think the brewers have succeeded. "..." IPA is a pleasant, approachable, easy-drinking IPA that would be a good accompaniment to pub grub or a nice, relaxing pint after work on a hot day. Still, it does not break any new ground and will not wow dedicated hop heads. Think of it as an IPA for beginners. It's not bad by any stretch, it's just not all that exciting.
