A traditional wheat-based ale originating in Southern German, typically brewed for summer consumption. At Public House, we take our Hefeweizen seriously. Not only do we use traditional ingredients, but our brewers use the traditional, multi-step infusion mash method (adding time and toil to the brew day) which gives the beer the appropriate body without cloying sweetness. Pale, spicy, and fruity, our Hefeweizen is medium-bodied with a fluffy, creamy fullness that comes directly from the wheat.
Subtle flavors and aromas of banana, clove, and even bubblegum - all naturally imparted by the yeast - are balanced by slightly tart and citrusy noble hops.
Do we really need to keep going here? If you don't want one by now, you're barking up the wrong banana.

Clove and banana are present and it is taken over by a mild sweet, malty flavor.

Great color. Pour into a Hefeweizen glass. Let settle and make sure to get all the wheat off the bottom of the bottle and pour it in. A nice deep cloudy orange color. Taste like a german hefeweizen which is one of my favorite beer.

Apparently I'm review#1, poor bastards...
Pours an effervescent bronze/amber with 3+ fingers of cream colored head. Hazed a little bit as the bottle drained, above average head retention & average lacing
S: Phenols, cloves, a little graininess, pears
T: Follows the nose, a little bready sweetness, a little Band-Aid as well up front. Pear notes, grassiness, more phenolic notes as this warms. Finishes with pear notes, grassiness & a little bit of clove & juicy fruit
MF: Light/medium bodied, subtle carbonation
Way better than I thought it would be a pretty good American take on the style, very drinkable. Perhaps a tad too clean
