Iron Flamingo’s Red Ale is probably the perfect introduction to the world of craft brewed ales. It has a full flavor, yet is not overly hopped. It has a moderate original gravity and shows the mellow side of ales.

L: Very dark amber/reddish brown, with a small foamy white head. Decent retention. Spotty lacing.

S: Toast, toffee, hints of dark chocolate, caramel, and licorice.

T: Toast, toffee, caramel, hints of molasses and raisin, star anise, cocoa, and earth. Slightly minty on the finish.

F: Light, but well carbonated. A little watery.

O: A solid red ale. Not great, but not bad. Certainly enjoyable.

From a 12 oz bottle; undated. Pours a deep copper color with a thin head. Nice bready malt notes on the nose and palate with a lightly bitter finish. Very nice, drinkable amber ale.

Color is cool. Pretty brown with a Red tint. "Full flavor not overly hopped. Moderate original gravity shows the mild side of ales." Right on the bottle and is accurate

7/13...pours very dark amber, reddish bottom cascading up to a dark brown with a touch of foam. Sweet caramel bready nose. Taste is a robust bread malt bomb, little bit of caramel sweetness, and a light hop in the back third that fades out. Vanilla/root beer notes too. Very drinkable and a lot of flavor.
