A full bodied ale, dark brown in color, with a tinge of coffee flavor. Nicely balanced by five malts and a mild hop profile.

Pours a dark brown color with beige edges and a half finger of head. The nose has very mild notes of chocolate and coffee. The flavor is quite flat and the body is very thin for the style.

Based on the reviews to date I must have got a bad bottle. That being said, have yet to see a really good beer from this brewery.

On tap at the source.
Deep brown bordering on black with a thin long lasting tan head. Rich coffee with hints of chocolate and roast and light fruity and earthy notes. Pretty tasty.

Very dark brown (SRM 29-30) with dark ruby highlights. This seems to be clear with a one and a half inch light chestnut creamy foam that has considerable longevity. Lacing is fine and coats a 3Sheeps fisheye pint glass. The head never fully dissipates, but rather forms a luscious, creamy cap.
The aroma opens strong with mocha, then fades to black coffee and powdered chocolate. A light soapiness comes out with warmth, followed by charred malt.
Flavor follows the nose with a light sweet/bitter balance. Roasted malt stands above the other flavors through a long mild finish that is punctuated by a light bitterness.
The body is light to medium with a creamy texture. Carbonation is light and fizzy and alcohol is as expected.
This beer will help one to wind down or to sip with lively conversation.

1/3/16...pours a very dark hue, more black than brown, fast fizzy off white foam. Strong coffee bitter nose, gritty armoa. Hearty burnt malt flavor, loads of coffee notes. Long finish, earthy. Bitter balanced.
