Serve on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a super hazy orange-yellow color with a small white puffy head. The head has a decent level of retention, fading over time to leave a moderate level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strong of a doughy and bready smell mixed with tons of tropical fruit smells of tangerine, pineapple, mango, and papaya. At the same time there is a decent showing of a grapefruit and herbal hop as well as a touch of graininess, some lemon, and a light pine.
Taste - The taste is much less sweet then I would have anticipated for the nose. It begins with a rather chewy bready and doughy flavor that is matched with a light level of tropical fruits and orange juice as well as a rather decent showing of grapefruit and herbal hops. As the taste advances the grapefruit fades all while the herbal grows more intense and is joined by flavor of a pine taste. Other light lime and lemon flavors develop as well as a touch of a hay and grassy taste, leaving one with a nice, slightly more dank and bitter, green hopped up taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is thick and chewy with a carbonation level that is low. The feel is good for the style and the tastes, making or a nice slow sipper.
Overall -A good hazy overall. Flavorful but not overly intense.
