500ml bottle from SuperValu, Sligo (£2.56):
Copper/red tinged amber with a 1cm, bubbly head that's white & has a slightly creamy texture on top an opaque body. Citrus hops & orange notes dominate the nose, there's some sweet malts & caramel too but the balance isn't quite right & the do go that we'll together really; there's a few pine notes to close as well. There taste is similar but thankfully the blood orange flavours are toned down & more balanced, going well with the caramel malt sweetness & pine hops. It's not the most varied taste although some tropical fruits see things out, mainly mango & papaya. It's a medium bodied, smooth beer with light carbonation but it's a little sticky at times & fairly disappointing on the whole.
