Vintage 16' on tap...
One of those beers you have expecting it to be something that it's not. Dark amber appearance...toffee, butterscotch & raisin scent...Expected a sweet boozy full bodied quad but got a mildly tart, holiday spiced werthers original. Rich and lacy glassware left behind. I enjoyed this.

On tap at Griffon Gastropub in Clarence, NY.
This one pours a dark brownish/reddish color, with a small white, and only a little bit of lacing.
Smells like Christmas in a glass- allspice and cinnamon, candi sugar, cherry and other dark fruits, light Belgian fruity yeast esters, and some caramel.
If it's dark, and it's Alesmith, you basically know it's going to be dope. This is so Christmasy and delightful. The spices are prominent, but don't dominate, with some Christmas tree pine, cinnamon, and allpsice. The Belgian yeast is there, but kept reigned in for a clean finish. There's a nice fruity and slightly caramelly malt backbone as well.
This is medium bodied, clean, and surprisingly crisp for a style that's often syrupy.
I honestly can't get enough of this brewery. They hit home runs on basically everything they make.

Poured a copper body that had thick head and an aroma that just gives off candi-sugar/yeast sweetness along with spiciness. Thick, boozy, sweet, not a traditional Belgian as the malts take over and there's a piney spice to it, but it's easy to drink and a definite slow sipper on a winter night.
