8oz pour at the brewery into a snifter.
Pours an opaque black with a dark khaki head, that dissipates to just a ring. Minimal spotty lacing. Nice looking beer
Smells of toasted coconut, vanilla beans and roasted dark malts. Sweet chocolate and maybe a hint of coffee. Smells extremly good. Very balanced aromas.
Taste of Roasted coconut, vanilla, sweet and creamy coffee, roasted malts and dark chocolate. Very balanced for being 12%. Extremely drinkable, and one of the best RIS flavored stouts I've had thus far.
Toasty coconut, chocolate, slight booze and a semi dry finish. Very clean.
One of the best RIS I've had. Very well balanced and the flavors are on point. Not a big fan of coconut, but it's done extremely well here.
