On tap at O'Brien's for 2012 SDBW.
A: Deep, slick black with a ring of fine, medium dark brown head. No real lacing, but it retains the foam quite well. Almost like looking at an espresso.
S: Fresh, spiced mint and super dark chocolate, a little coffee. Mint is there and in good balance. Somehow this is as vivid as simultaneously taking a whiff of fresh sprigs of mint and a bar of dark chocolate all at once.
T: Same, with coffee and loads of mint on the finish. A little sweetness really balances out the flavor.
M: Silky, full bodied, and medium-light carbonation which works wonderfully with the body.
O: Superb dessert beer, best mint stout I've had. This is ideally consumed in small quantities since the mint is fatiguing on the palate.
