Copenhagen 10/10 2019. 35,5 cl can from Fish & Beer, Amagerbrogade, Kbh S. Yellow can with AleSmiths logo - The Anvil with a Glass of Beer. Tagline is Effervescent, Crisp, Aromatic.

Pours unclear, golden yellow with a medium-sized white head. Settles as thin, almost transparent, flimsy layer of foam barely covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the beer. Very moderate lacing.

Aroma is medium-intense, fruity sweet with an undercurrent of fermentation and decay and lighter citric notes. Peach, Pineapple and Mango. Citrus and Lime.

Medium carbonation. Slightly thick, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.

Flavor is medium sweet followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish and gentle. Notable bitter undercurrent. Lingers for a while. Semi-dry finish.

Nice Brut IPA. But could use a little more intensity and Champagne to be truly Effervescent.

This is the first brut IPA that was really BRUT. I had the chance to back down a few but none of them came this close to being something I thought would fulfill the description of a “brut” beer.
Brut makes me think of a champagne. Now this one smelled and tasted as a kind of champagne, or at least a beer that was brewed with champagne yeast - or something like that. But at the same tim, needless to say, it is an amazingly tasty IPA.
Then another interesting discovery: as time passes, the champagne-like quality disappears - and changes into a whiskey- or a brandy-like quality. Not the bourbon barrel aged thing, but an amazingly dense hop brandy. An experience. A quite unique taste.
Alesmith seems to bring something completely new with each and every beer and this one they took the brut to a level it really deserves. I will seek out some more from them, for sure. Because they are good.

A: Hazy faded orange with a heavy dose of effervesce. Very dense nature, with a fast moving carbonation. Frothy covering is one inch and sticks around well.

S: Faint, dry hints of pineapple- with some citrus - o.j. Some fruit cup, apricot, grapes, and pears. Final thoughts of cantaloupe. Mid-level awareness, very well blended aroma, smooth, flows together well.

T: Black peppery spicing is backed by tart citrus and lemons. Bready malts with an orchard like fruitiness, semi-dry peaches and grapes. Warming hops of lemon-grapefruit notes become more pronounced with warming showing a black peppery spicing. Pulpy citrus.

M: Crisp mouthful, active carbonation, probably the best aspect of this drink by far, crisp and dry.

O: Overall it's mystic lies in it's crisp, dry nature, champagne like features, that brings out its hoppiness. Well blended, active carbonation. Probably won't get much love and praise from the dank, neipa hopheads, but this is a fine example by style that only Alesmith could pull off and make me respect. Crisp, dry and relaxing drinking experience, with more respect deeper into the drink. Give it a try if you haven't had a Brut ipa yet. While not groundbreaking, it is a different take per style and Alesmith pulls off a respectable example.

L: Hazy straw yellow. Foamy. Active after the pour.

S: Mellow. Lots of notes to pick up though.

T: Very nice flavor.

F: Fizzy and bounces off the tongue.

O: I'll be honest, I'm not sure what's going on here, but it's tasty.

A: The beer is slightly hazy yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a large patch of bubbles on the surface, a narrow collar around the edge, and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of gooseberries are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of gooseberries along with notes of mangos. There is a slight amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: With the notes of mangos in the taste, this beer seems to be a little tropical compared to other beers in the style.

Pours a fairly clear yellow with fine, soft foam.

Smell is fruity with notes of mango, citrus, grapes and a hint of pine.

Taste is fruity and dry with notes of mango, citrus, white wine, white grapes and a bit of yeastiness.

Mouthfeel is medium, brightly carbonated.

Overall, a very nice Brut IPA. Not my favorite style, but this is the best one I've had.

12 oz can poured into a tulip pint.

Appearance
Blonde. Good clarity. Light carbonation. 1 finger of creamy white head.

Nose
Peach, gooseberry, and citrus. Very subtle.

Taste
Again, very subtle. Peach, gooseberry, and lemonade. A touch of grains and bread.

Mouthfeel
Medium bodied, crisp, dry, and effervescent.

Overall
The look and the feel are about right but that yeast seems to really eat up the hop flavor.

Has a heavy unfiltered, brilliant gold appearance. Vigorously carbed, the can exploded on opening (no, it hadn’t been shaken)

Has a very earthy, fruity nose. Definitely get some apricot and peach. Musty earth for emphasis.

Taste is very citrus forward, astringent pine. Not nearly as much fruit as the nose, very different profile

Medium bodied, surprised it’s not more heavily carbed given the explosion at opening. Has the characteristic dry finish of a brut.

L: A slightly clear golden-yellow, about SRM 5, minimal amount of head, very minimal visible carbonation rising up the beer.
S: My nose is instantly bombarded by one of the most wonderful tropical fruit boquets that my nose has ever experienced. Papaya, mango, white grapes. Also a bit of pine and floral hops.
T: Not super fruity as the aroma is. Taste is a vague mix of dank and pine hops and citrus fruits.
F: Medium-light body with low level of medium-intensity carbonation. Not super sticky, fairly dry finish.
O: The main drawback is the flavor, which is fairly vague and unexciting.
