The hops (Humulus Lupulus) are the real star of this San Diego-style IPA, showcasing bright notes of apricots, citrus, tropical fruits, and berries. Light malt notes and a smooth bitterness lead to an easy and drinkable finish.

Clear golden color. Medium-sized, white head. Typical tropical fruits/pine aroma. Strong, hoppy bitterness. Good but not special.

A 12oz can picked up at Total Wine, Las Vegas in Dec'19
L - Bright yellow, 1/2 a finger of head and some nice sticky lace left on the glass
S - Pine and citrus. Quite strong aroma
T - Like the nose, a very balanced IPA between the bitter and citrus.
F - Light carbonation, light body
O - A good IPA, but their standard IPA is better.

Clear golden amber brew that sloshes nicely in the mouth with plentiful carbonation. Hints of peach in the aroma, a note of pine. Light bready malt to start. Some green melon and straw. Sharp finish.
Clean and tangy with just a whisper of sweet malt lingering. Moderate bitter aftertaste. Overall this is highly drinkable with a balance of everything from fizz to bitterness. From the 12 oz can purchased at Barons Market.

An Alesmith in the Crafted Classics series, from what I learned and tasted, it is a bit more on the traditional side than the Hopwright series, for instance - but with a twist, as they say.
The twist in this case is the amazing intensity and the balance of taste that the hops bring. It made me think that it is a single hop IPA (not 100% sure though), but it surely does have a distinct flavor and aroma of one hop variety - and that one is very intensive, very fresh and very much in your face.
Piney and earthy, don’t know exactly but could be Amarillo or Simcoe or maybe even Centennial, but who cares. It is very hoppy but not due to dry hopping, it is rather the amount of hops that gone into the brew is what’s responsible for the taste, I guess.
I found this again a very high quality beer, very well made, although slightly falling behind the Muy Sabroso that I had from them the first time. Nevertheless, a remarkable San Diego IPA.
