Had on tap. Usual appearance for BASS but more matte and cap is sudsier, lacing too. Smells like an earthier version of BASS, rye is faint though, booze is strong. Taste has same frustration, want the rye to be stronger, but still a boozy speedway so can't complain too much. Feel is robust, malty, hot with booze, and strong. Not my favorite variant, but still a good stout.

Appearance: Pours an opaque espresso color with a thin beige head; spotty lacing

Smell: Roasty, with chocolate, coffee and Rye tones

Taste: Chocolate, roast and coffee forward with the Rye emerging mid-palate; boozy in the finish with a strong Rye character

Mouthfeel: Full bodied with moderate carbonation

Overall: The Rye barrel takes this Speedway in a different direction; delicious
