12oz can. Poured out a hazy, pale golden color with a small, off-white head of foam. It smelled of guava, pineapple and toasted caramel. Sweet tropical fruit taste with a sharp bitterness and caramel finish.

12 oz can, from Lukas' Wine & Spirits, into Boulevard Smokestack snifter. No date.
I was at the store and didn't notice "painted mirrors" on the can and just saw "hazy IPA" so I wasn't able to pull up any reviews ahead of time. I just bought a can, in Kansas City KS.
Has a hazy, as advertised, blonde body but not much depth or "milkiness" to it, but has a nice tall frothy white head of 3 fingers, receding to 1/2 leaving lots of looped lacing on the glass.
Aroma brings grapefruit, then freshly cut papaya, some apricot, blueberries, and some sweet lemon-y grassy-ness.
Flavor brings lemon and grapefruit, with a nice distinct acidity that cuts like a session ale. I get a huge dose of wheat too, like a wheat pale ale. Lingering notes of tangerine peel and slight onion skin. Some piney resins build on the tongue towards the finish and the more it is sipped.
Feel is crisp and acidic, skews a touch watery, with mild alcohol heat, a heavy carbonation, and a resiny finish.
Overall, a west coast "east coast" attempt. An okay beer to try once.
Price paid : $1.49 / can
Would buy again : no
