Imperial stout aged in two different types of premium bourbon barrels with coconut and Papua New Guinea coffee.
This beer was brewed in collaboration with Kyle at Horus Aged Ales. The Papua New Guinea coffee was sourced and roasted by West Bean Coffee.
This massive stout has intense notes of chocolate, caramel, and rich, sweet bourbon followed by delicate notes of dried fruit, honey, and citrus zest from the coffee.

750ml bottle, poured into a tulip.
L: Black, small light brown head which mostly disipates.
S: Coffee, Dark Fruit, Honey, Confection sugar
T: Nose carries through to flavor, adding light oak and coconut.
F: Medium body, nice creamy feel that lets the flavor linger in the finish.
O: a very good beer

A bit more viscous than standard Speedway, and it’s just super complex and balanced. Coconut, hazelnut, bittersweet chocolate, cherry cordial.. it’s just all there, in perfect symmetry. No doubt Horus Aged Ales and their deft stout capabilities had something to do with it. Super rich, soft mouthfeel, and just enough hot boozy barrel to remind you it spent time marinating in oaky goodness. Bravo.
