Single 16 oz can from Trader Joe's Dated 10/14/21 (because I wasn't paying attention when I bought it on Feb 2). Not fresh but holds up really well. Would like to try this fresh. Nice, but not remarkable appearance; 1finger+ of white head but not a lot of longevity to it or lacing. Nice yellowish /gold color. Smell and taste both in line with expectations for the hop mix. Not as bitter as I expected for a WC IPA. To me the mouthfeel is where this really shines. Very smooth, highly drinkable, subtle carbonation. On the heavy-ish side of medium body for an IPA, especially a WC IPA. To me it was reminiscent of a hazy IPA with regard to how "thick" the mouthfeel was. Overall a nice IPA that I could drink regularly.

I remember things… I remember dreams… I’ve longed for beauty… I’ve longed for excitement… I’ve had desire… I’ve had want… I… am here now. Beyond the depths of the imagination, and the ability to be had, I am here. Only here. Where I want to be. With you. Super Sunset. You.

16 oz. can from Trader Joe's. A new offering served up into a pint glass. Pour is on the lighter side of the new west coast ipa substyle, touch of haze and surely lacking any caramel malt influence. Deep straw, perhaps a touch of wheat. Think Swami's IPA vs the old school Swami's from Pizza Port. Fruity with some citrus in the back, touch of shallot on the nose. Decent yet a bit reaching.
Taste follows with more muddled fruit but is constrained by a light backbone of malt. Bit spicy and with a perky carbonation. An easy yet forgettable quaff. Give me the classic IPA, give me balance....

Can’t believe I had to add this beer yet it was canned exactly a month ago on 10/12/21! Is the BA community fading into obscurity? This isn’t a collab which was surprising bc that’s what AleSmith have been doing lately. This is pure, old school AleSmith at their finest. An incredible West Coast IPA with a stellar hop bill. You don’t see Chinook much anymore these days! I’m going back and getting a 4-pack. Showcases these hops so well with tons of juicy fruit and dank hoppy deliciousness.
