Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a lightly hazed yellow-orange color with a head of puffy white foam. The head has a good level of retention, fading over time to leave a good deal of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is rather strong of a yeasty and bready smell mixed with lots of grapefruit and tangerine. Along with these aromas comes notes of cantaloupe and honeydew as well as some apricot and peach. Other light hop aromas of a herbal and pine nature are there as well, rounding out the overall aroma rather nicely.
Taste – The taste starts out with flavors of a light bready malt mixed with some fruit of a peach and apricot nature. Along with these flavors are some tropical flavors of tangerine and mango as well as a decent showing of a grapefruit hop. There is a light peppery taste upfront that fades as the taste advances with other flavors of a yeast cake and herbal hop taking its place. At the same time there is a bit of melon and lemongrass that develop toward the end.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is more chewy and thick for a 7.1 % brew with a carbonation level that is higher than normal. For the flavors and the style the feel is nice and makes for a flavorful sipper.
Overall – A pretty nice and not too citrus heavy hazy IPA. Rather good and one I would go back to again.

Not one of their best beers, although it is good. Not much nose or flavor to speak of considering it is an IPA. Some will love it, some like me will just find it ok.

While the weather can't always accomodate our plans, AleSmith's hazy IPA can at least provide such satisfaction for the tastebuds. Bright, summery and shining on the palate with the rays of El Dorado, Simcoe and Enigma hops, this is a beer that will bless the senses with hoppy bliss.

Sunshine Bliss pours with a moderately hazy appearance that holds back an otherwise glowing golden-straw hue. As its frothy white cap builds to the brim, the nose is stricken with the brightness of tropical fruit, citrus and a twang of berry. However the session starts sweeter and maltier with a first sip of agave, shortcake and light cereal.

But then quickly shifting back to the hops, the middle palate shows a dissolving grain sweetness and a growing sense of fruit through hops. Pink grapefruit, branch-ripe oranges and lighter lemon flavors tease the tastebuds while a more tropical impact of passionfruit, pineapple and papaya soon follow. Trending smoothly bitter, the late taste shares a balance of fresh spruce, cedar, and botanical herbs with a twang of currant and gooseberry.

Medium bodied and trending drier, the ale finishes brisk and snappy to usher in an satisfying degree os refreshment, crispness and drinkability. A medium length aftertaste of hops continue with lighter suggestions of hemp, tea leaf and soft balsa resins.
