Big 750ML skull-cracker. Maybe I’ve been watching too much Walking Dead.
Very dark & pretty still with a nose that’s faint. Raisins & barrel. Little enough of both.
Barrel Aged Olde Ale 2023 is about as malty & full of raisins as they come. Thick, with minimal sweetness, & a gentle, slow scoop of alcohol. The barrel is far enough in the background that it might need a good scope to find it. Half a bomber is plenty.
An overpriced, mediocre beer. Alesmith was once a brewery that could be counted on to churn out excellent stuff, especially barrel aged stuff, but not any longer. It’s sad. C’mon, man!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
