Copenhagen 5/11 2025. 47,3 cl can from DrikBeer web-shop- Off-white can with two cartoonish characters - one a cup of coffee and one a can of beer - walking side by side.
Pours unclear orange with a mid-sized, fluffy white head. Stable. Settles as a 0,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a soft scent of coffee and a light touch of barrel. Sweet, pale malts, touch of Fanta, espresso coffee, A little citrus and ginger.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, gently tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong tart bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and a bit coffee-like. .Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Not quite the usual Kölsch-style brew.

Pours a semi-opaque amber yellow with a thick foam head and plenty of lacing. Aromas of coffee and... something else. Like a spice - could be cinnamon, is probably the barrel. The barrel is very noticeable in the taste. The coffee is underneath it - not that it is buried or anything. It's just a bit of an oddity, a barrel-aged kolsch to begin with, but then with this much going on. I don't hate it. It's light, soft, and spicy, stronger than the style typically is. I think the woody flavor is overwhelming the rest of it a bit.

Light coffee and fairly woody aroma and flavor. Almost seems like there’s a bit of cinnamon. Just okay balance; wood character > coffee character. Fairly light bodied with a light spicy finish.
