Copenhagen 15/11 2025. 47,3 cl can from DrikBeer web-shop. Off-white can with a cartoonish duo - one a beer can and the order a cup of coffee strolling.
Pours opaque dark brown with a mid-sized off-white head- Stable. Settles as a 0,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet malty, roasted odor mingling with citric, zesty notes. Dark roasted malts, burnt toffee and caramel. Grapefruit and lime. More than a hint of black, roasted coffee.
Light carbonation Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed a balanced by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Tasty Black IPA with a light touch of coffee.

Another of the mixed 6-pack, 2 to go! Pint can into a pint. This pours a dark brown-black with a decent chunk of foamy white head. Dark, roasty, hoppy aroma. This one has a strong earthy flavor up front; not a surprise when you consider the ingredients. It's VERY toasty, to the point of leather, tobacco, and char. Probably the most roasted black IPA I have ever had. The body isn't on the level of a stout, although the taste is reminiscent of one.

More dark brown than black but fairly clear. Big roasty coffee aroma and flavor with hop bitterness hitting in the finish. Good balance but Coffee > IPA. Light to medium bodied with a dry roasty bitter finish. 4.42.
